Kinds of Paint

Asphalt Roof Paint - asphaltic amterial disolved in volatile solvent withor without pigments, dring oils, resins and so on.

Asphalt - asbestos roof paint.

Concrete slab

A flat, reinforced concrete structural member, relatively sizable in length and width, but shallow in depth, used for floors, roofs, and bridge decks.

Brick Masonry

To make a rigid wall of brick, individual bricks are laid together in horizontal layers, or coarses. The bricks are bound together by cementing material or mortar.
The mason spread a layer of mortar with a wide, flat trowel. He then sets the bricks on the mortar pressing them down lightly. If bricks is out of line, he taps gently into place with the handle of his trowel.

Concrete

Concrete - is a stonelike material obtained by permitting a carefully proportioned mixture of cement, gravel and sand or the other inert materials, and water to harden in forms of the shape and dimension of the desired structures.

Main composition of cement

1. 60 to 65% lime
2. 18 to 25% silica
3. 3 to 8% alumina
4. .5 to 5% ironoxide
5. 2 to 5% magnesia
6. 1 to 5% sulfur trioxide

Different types of cement used for construction

1. Ordinary portland cement
2. Rapid hardening portland cement is specified when high early strength is required
3. Portland blast furnance or sulphate is used to resist chemical attack
4. Low heat portland cement is preffered for a massive section to reduce the heat of hydration
5. Portland pozzolan cement is a slow hardening concrete
6. High alumina cement
